Privacy Policy
Your images are processed on your own device — never uploaded to our servers
Image8K is a purely front-end image processing site. The images you upload to the page are compressed, cut out, converted, and otherwise processed entirely within your current browser's memory — they never pass through our servers, and we never store them. Below, in plain language, is what we collect, what we don't, and how you can control your own data.

Images are processed locally — never uploaded, never saved
When you use tools like background removal, compression, or format conversion on this site, your image file is only ever read into your current device's browser, processed locally using capabilities like Canvas and Web Workers, and then downloaded by you.
We never upload your original images or processed results to a server, and we never store, back up, or use them to train any model on our servers. When you close or refresh the page, the image data in your browser's memory is released (unless you've already downloaded it to your device).
- No account is required to use any of the first-phase tools
- Processing never passes through our backend
- Result files are only saved to your own device when you click download
What information we collect
A small amount of technical information unrelated to “image content,” needed to keep the site running normally, may be briefly recorded by our server or CDN as access logs — things like access time, approximate region, browser type, and the page requested. These logs are used for troubleshooting, traffic statistics, and security, not to identify you personally, and are never linked to your image content.
We don't require your name, phone number, email, or any other registration information to use our tools. If you contact us through the “Contact Us” page, we'll only use the contact details you provide to respond to that specific message.
Cookies, local storage, and model caching
This site may use browser local storage (like localStorage) or cookies to remember settings unrelated to image content, such as your language preference or interface state.
Some features (like background removal) download a processing component or model file to your browser the first time you use them, which may then be cached by your browser for faster loading next time. These files are cached on your own device and never transmit your images back to us.
Third-party services and outbound links
Static site resources may be distributed through a CDN. If we adopt privacy-friendly analytics in the future (for example, a self-hosted analytics tool), we'll update this page accordingly, and we'll do our best to avoid sharing personally identifiable data with ad networks.
Outbound links on the site (such as maps or other websites) are governed by their own privacy policies — once you leave this site, please refer to their rules.
Your rights and recommended practices
Because your images are never uploaded to our servers, there's no “delete my images from your server” action for us to take — your images simply aren't on our end in the first place. You can clear your browser cache and local storage at any time to remove your language preference or any cached processing components.
If you have questions about this policy, or feel our stated practices don't match our actual behavior, please let us know through the contact page.
How to contact us
For privacy-related questions, please leave a message through the “Contact Us” page and we'll respond as soon as we can. If we make any significant updates to this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page — continued use of this site means you accept the updated terms.
